Cary R. Motz, MD, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon through the American Board of Orthopedic Surgeons. Dr. Motz specializes in knee and shoulder arthroscopy and reconstruction along with sports medicine at Advanced Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Specialists in Denver and Parker, Colorado.

Dr. Motz received his undergraduate degree and completed his orthopedic residency at the University of Oklahoma. He received his medical degree from St. Louis University School of Medicine. Dr. Motz completed the San Diego Sports Medicine Arthroscopy Fellowship, focusing on advanced techniques in knee and shoulder arthroscopy. In addition, he is board-certified in Sports Medicine.

Dr. Motz believes that good communication with his patients is the key to a successful treatment outcome. He is currently the team physician for Rock Canyon High School and previously served as the Medical Director for the Colorado Storm Soccer Club. His hobbies include playing golf and skiing.

This is the second surgery i have had with Dr. Motz. My grandfather Dr. Paul Dragul who was a co founder of Associates of Otolaryngology here in Colorado was known for how he treated his patience and I feel that same hospitality with Dr. Motz! Dr. Motz is great...he's not a cut first orthopedist...recommending things for pain management, rehab, PT first. He offers multiple treatment options, has great "bedside" manner...good dude and the only ortho to see for knee / shoulder / elbow pain.
