I have severe pain in my heels and I thought I had plantar fasciitis so I made an appt with Dr Leland as he’s a foot specialist. He was kind and took the time to explain to me what’s really going on, turns out it’s bone spurs and inflammation at the Achilles insertion at the backside of my heels. He showed me on my foot and ankle where the pain was emanating from and now I understand the areas I need to take it easy on. I was hoping for a cortisone shot to alleviate my pain but he explained that’s not a good area for that kind of shot, so we’ve agreed on a stretching and massage program to avoid surgery. He also is encouraging me to continue with my walking everyday, it was a serious bummer to not be able to walk normal without pain. I’m feeling a bit better as it will take some time before that inflammation goes down but I’m grateful to be in Dr Leland’s care. I appreciate that he’s not so gung-ho to go straight to surgery. I highly recommend him!!!

I recently ruptured my Achilles and sought help from Dr. Robert Leland. He was very helpful, thorough and very responsive to my questions. I would recommend him to anyone that has suffered a foot or ankle injury. Hopefully, we won’t have to visit him again but, if I was to be asked for recommendations, he’s at the top of my list. Thank you, Dr. Leland!

He was respectful and informative about the diagnosis and treatment. He never talked down to me - just authentically communicated in a professional but informal manner. He gave several treatment options, and what the expected outcomes of each might be. I would definitely consider Dr Leland for surgery.
