Rudy Kovachevich, MD
Dr. Kovachevich (“Dr. K”) is highly trained in surgery of the hand, elbow, and shoulder with vast knowledge of complex upper extremity conditions. He is board-certified in orthopedic surgery and has completed an added subspecialty certification in surgery of the hand. Dr. Kovachevich has numerous publications in peer reviewed journals, and lectures both locally and nationally on upper extremity issues. He maintains membership in the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons (AAOS), American Society for Surgery of the Hand (ASSH), the Colorado Orthopedic Society, and Rocky Mountain Hand Society. Dr. Kovachevich also has State of Colorado Workers Compensation level II certification.
Dr. Kovachevich specializes in shoulder replacements, shoulder and elbow arthroscopy and reconstruction. He treats fractures of the clavicle, shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand. He specializes in elbow and wrist ligament reconstruction, along with nerve compressions and sport related injuries.
He can routinely be found on the local Colorado trails systems running and hiking, or skiing in the mountains in the winter. As a life-long athlete and former collegiate competition runner, Dr. Kovachevich is focused on getting his patients back to their own active Colorado lifestyles.
