Dr. Shank was very kind and professional. He explained what he needs to do with my ankle and I had been to tiger surgeon and my recovery time will be less than other surgeons have told me. He truly cares about getting people back to doing what they love to do quickly but safely. Ima busy mom so 2 weeks or so give or take being NWB is better than 4-6! Thank you Dr. Shank, I’m looking forward in returning to my sports and hobbies eventually!

My experience with Dr. Shank is the best experience possible! I suffered excruciating foot pain for 1.5 years from attrition of a very athletic, active life. In that time I had two MRI’s and was seen by other highly qualified foot and ankle surgeons who did not have a solution for me. At my first appointment with Dr. Shank, him seeing the same scans, he knew what to do immediately! I love his astute expertise, professional integrity, kindness and a natural connection I enjoy, feeling really seen and attended to, to surgically modify my foot allowing me to feel good again in my active life! Dr. Shank is one-in-a-million and I have a very grateful heart, and foot!

Dr. Shank is great. He did in 4 months, what my other dr. couldn't accomplish in a year ! I highly recommend him for all things foot/ankle and lower leg related. His assistant Miyoko Green is also awesome.

Dr Shank did a great job as far as I can tell (I’m not healed yet). He listened to my issues and explained what he saw in the X-ray. Surgery was smooth and seemed to not be a big deal to him, which I appreciated. He gave me confidence in his knowledge and skill.

Before I had total ankle replacement surgery in June I couldn’t walk More than shuffling around the house. Now 5 months out I can walk almost normally and go shopping and not worry about my ankle collapsing! 98% less pain and Dr. Shank says it’ll only get better! And you can’t see the scar! This is a phenomenal group! Super competent, courteous, professional and friendly! What more could I ask for!I just had my one year check up and it’s PERFECT!!! I can walk anywhere, any time, as normal as anyone! It’s my age that slows me down, NOT my ankle!!! Praise God! And thank Dr. Shank!!!Just had my 2 year check up and it was perfect! I can walk anywhere as far as I want and I usually forget that it’s an implant!!!Just had my 3 year checkup and all is golden. I completely forgot the pain I used to have. Blessings on Dr. Shank and Miyoko Green!!!

Dr Shank did a terrific job of repairing a broken fusion and a ruptured Achilles tendon in my right ankle. He cares about how you are doing and is extra supportive when it is tough. I would recommend him highly.

Prior to getting an evaluation from Dr. Shank, I went to two other orthopedists. Only Dr. Shank discussed all the alternatives and the pros and cons of each possibility. Dr. Shank also caught that I needed some foot reconstruction before a total ankle replacement. The previous Doctors did not. I believe this is going to result in a long-term, if not lifetime solution to my extreme osteoarthritis. He is the best in the business.
