Scott G. Resig, M.D.is board certified through the American Board of Orthopedic Surgeons. Dr. Resig specializes in complex conditions of the lower extremity with a focus in foot and ankle as well as hip and knee joint replacement at Advanced Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Specialists in Denver and Parker, Colorado.

Dr. Resig pursued his undergraduate degree at the University of Wisconsin, graduating with distinction. He received his medical degree and completed his orthopedic residency at the University of Minnesota Medical School. After completing his residency, he pursued fellowship training at the Adidas Sports Medicine Institute and then continued his fellowship training in orthopedic foot & ankle surgery at the University of Auckland, New Zealand.

Dr. Resig is currently the Chairman of Orthopedic Surgery at Sky Ridge Medical Center. He moved to Denver and joined Denver-Vail Orthopedics, P.C. in 2004. Dr. Resig utilizes many of the most advanced technologies available in orthopedics, including robotic knee surgery, anterior minimally invasive hip replacement, and custom ankle replacement. Dr. Resig hopes that the use of the newest technological advances in orthopedics can give his patients the best outcomes with a quicker recovery.

Dr. Resig recently completed an Ironman triathlon and he has run multiple marathons but his greatest joy comes from being a devoted husband and father of three girls. He enjoys competitive sports and is familiar with the frustrations an injury can cause.

Dr Resig is amazing. He understood my fear of injection after a bad experience with another provider. I have bone spurs and a bone on bone joint that is very painful. He took the time to do anesthesia to numb my foot and did ultrasound guided injection which was amazing. My first injection did not need to be so painful had they taken the time and care that Dr Resig did. I highly recommend Dr Resig and OCC for any orthopedic needs. Going above and beyond to insure good experience and outcomes. My foot feels great now. I am out enjoying my walks again. I will be back for injections and fusion if needed.

I have injured my left knee with what now seems to be surgery implications after my consultation. I went into this thinking it would take about a month and a half until I would have treatment or diagnosis, after my consultation I was told I would be contacted about scheduling an MRI within a day or two and my results would take a day. I was ecstatic about this as ski season is around the corner so weeks of recovery is important. I received a call a week later, but scheduled on my own as it was filtered away. However, My mri was now a week ago and I have yet to receive a call, so I called on my own today to leave a voicemail. I am not upset about the time but rather that very minimal of what I was told came true. It is 3 weeks after my consultation and I still have not received a diagnosis.

Great patient care. Answered all my questions and gave a good response as to my injury. I’m an old athletic trainer and Scott is very knowledgeable. Scott was able to see me in a timely manner. Which is always good when you’re in pain.
