Dr. Michael Huang is a fellowship-trained sports medicine specialist with advanced expertise in hip preservation, as well as shoulder and knee injuries. Originally from Littleton, Colorado, Dr. Huang has lived, worked, and stayed active across the state, including in Vail, Grand Junction, and Colorado Springs, where he has been a part of the community since 2012.

Dr. Huang completed his sports medicine fellowship at The Steadman-Hawkins Clinic in Vail,
Colorado, where he received specialized training in the treatment of complex joint conditions. He
has a particular focus on hip preservation surgery, helping patients maintain joint health and return
to an active lifestyle. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Huang is actively involved in advancing the field of orthopedic surgery through innovation with industry partners and participation in medical education, where he helps train other surgeons.

Throughout his career, Dr. Huang has contributed to the orthopedic literature with numerous
publications over the past 19 years, reflecting his ongoing commitment to research and improving patient outcomes.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Huang enjoys spending time with his wife and two children. He is passionate about an active Colorado lifestyle and can often be found skiing, mountain biking, golfing, or roasting coffee in his free time.

Excellent care at this clinic. Especially noteworthy was the lack of having to wait to see someone. The PA that initially spoke to me (I can't remember her name) was very polite, personal, and professional. Dr. Huang came in shortly after that and was prepared to expand on my needs. He was also very polite, personal and professional. One of the best experiences I've had at a doctor's appointment. I would like to do a follow up appointment with them. My only complaint is that it is hard to get to speak to someone when you call the office number. You are put on hold and then eventually asked if you'd like a call back. I did that, but it took about 1/2 hour (if I recall correctly) for them to call me back.

I've used Dr Huang for three different surgeries with great success. He and his team take the time to explain things and make sure your comfortable with what is happening as well as communicate in a timely manner. I have followed him to three different practices over the years, and will do so again when its time to fix my next issue after more than 20 years of wear since it was fixed the first time.

I'm fairly new to Dr. Huang and his team but I'm optimistic. I have had rotator cuff surgery on both shoulders in the past. One of my shoulder's has been bothering me for over a year. Dr. Huang and the team at OCC are very knowledgeable and professional. They found that while I don't have arthritis in my shoulder, I do have multiple tears. Dr. Huang explained my options, and stressed I could change my mind at any time depending on what I want to do. I 100% trusted my previous doctor who retired but I'm well on my way to believing in Dr. Huang and OCC in the same way!

Wonderful experience. Everyone has been so nice and helpful throughout my surgery process and it helped ease a lot of stress. They worked with my insurance when they continued to give me issues, Dr. Huang made an amazing video and gave me pictures of my hip surgery and I was very appreciative of the time they dedicated to me. I have zero complaints, and my surgery post op is going amazing, so I would definitely recommend seeing Dr. Huang if you ever find yourself in the position to need it!
