Dr. Adamson is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in hip and knee total joint replacement, revision surgery and the management of infected hip and knee replacements. Dr. Adamson has a special interest in minimally invasive direct anterior total hip replacement and robotic assisted knee replacement. He is a candidate member of the American Association of Hip & Knee Surgeons, as well as the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons.
Dr. Adamson grew up in Central Nebraska. Prior to working at Cornerstone, Dr. Adamson graduated cum laude from Creighton University in Omaha, NE with a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science. He attended medical school at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Following medical school, he pursued an orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch. He was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society and was awarded orthopedic intern of the year and the Golden Bone Excellence in Teaching Award. Following residency, Dr. Adamson had the opportunity to pursue advanced training in adult joint reconstruction at the University of California at Los Angeles Orthopedic Hospital in Santa Monica. His fellowship training included advanced techniques in reconstruction of the hip & knee. Dr. Adamson has been a reviewer for the Journal of Knee Surgery. Additionally, he conducted research on robotic assisted knee surgery.
Dr. Adamson has been on medical mission trips to Mexico and Ecuador. In his free time, he enjoys playing hockey and golf, weightlifting, and exploring Colorado.

Dr. Adamson and staff were highly professional in my recent dealings where I had total knee replacement surgery. The robotic assisted surgery and RomTech bike has made recovery very easy. I am almost three weeks post operation and no longer need a cane. My PT folks are amazed at my rapid recovery. I feel I have a caring team backing up my recovery!
Dr. Adamson recently performed a hip replacement for me and did an excellent job. He, and his team, are patient centered, responsive, skilled and professional. I am extremely pleased with my results and will be referring him to anyone in need of hip replacement. Very refreshing to receive great care!
I am now 2 weeks out from my left total hip replacement done using the anterior approach. I am pain free and fully mobile. In fact, at my follow up visit with Andrea - she told me to take it easy! I am so pleased with my outcome and with the positive attitude from all the staff there. I am looking forward to getting back to my normal level of activity pain free and yes, i had to promise to take it easy and not overstress my new joint as it is healing, I am so glad to have had Dr. Adamson perform my hip surgery and I would recommend him without reservation. It is also nice to have a surgeon who is not only technically excellent but he has a nice bedside manner as well.
Grateful for Dr. Adamson and his staff. My hip replacement surgery went much better than I could have ever imagined. I feel like I've gotten my life back and it's only been five weeks since my surgery, which still amazes me. Also, the nursing staff at Cornerstone Surgical Center were awesome. Very competent and had a great sense of humor.
Dr Adamson is very personable, friendly and professional. My surgery went well and the healing process has progressed beyond my expectations indicating a job well done. I am grateful for his surgical skills and knowledge. Both knee surgeries now complete and both doing extremely well.
Dr. Adamson is wonderful. Very clear on explaining everything and definitely cares about what you’re through. He did a hip replacement for me and everything was outstanding! I would definitely definitively recommend him to anyone.
Excellent surgeon. I'm very pleased with the outcome of my knee replacement surgery. And my physical therapy experience was wonderful. However, I felt the information brochure I was given prior to the surgery was very poor. Directions for post-surgery care were very vague, with terns like "often" or "frequently " with regard to elevating and icing my knee, instead of a specific amount of time.
Surgery went well. One complication after the fact was taken care very promptly. 2 week visit w MA post surgery, I was doing very well. She was very patient answered all of my questions and we set up appointment for 6 weeks
Everybody was super friendly and professional! It was probably the best experience I've had in a doctor's office. Dr. Adamson did a great job and I would highly recommend him.
Dr. Adamson is direct to the point in taking care of your needs. He has done one successful hip replacement surgery for me, that I was later walking on the same day. I am looking forward to getting the other one done here in the next couple of months. I would highly recomment Dr. Adamson and his team to you.

Dr Adamson is my hero! Excellent doctor and surgeon. My hip replacement was a big deal for me. Surgery went well and my recovery was better than I could have imagined. I was walking with my same gait 6 weeks after surgery. I would go back to Dr Adamson if I needed my other hip or either of my knees replaced.
Went in for knee surgery on February 7 had a partial knee replacement. This doctor did a great job. I have no complaints at all would recommend.
10/10 Super grateful for Dr. Adamson, Andrea, and Monique. They are a great team! Recovery from my total hip has been so easy thanks to Dr. Adamson’s surgical skills. Minimal bruising and swelling due to excellent tissue handling and an impressively clean incision/closure. Scheduling appointments and getting care when I need it has been a breeze. Less than 4 weeks out from surgery and I am able to walk 6 miles with no pain or limp.No complaints.
Dr. Adamson did a great job on my knee. Probably the exception, but I had no pain with the joint replacement. I think he's on top of his game using the Rosa robot. I'm looking forward to having him fix my other knee! His PA Andrea and the entire staff where all great!Update: Dr. Adamson recently repairedmy other knee, same result as the first knee. I walked into the hospital at 8:30am, walked out of the hospital at 3:00pm (using a walker). If you are having knee issues, Dr. Adamson is the guy you want! The whole staff at OCC have been great.
