Dr. Erisha Tashakori is a fellowship-trained orthopedic spine surgeon specializing in the comprehensive care of spinal conditions, from minimally invasive procedures to complex deformity reconstruction.

Born in Ciudad Ojeda, Venezuela, Dr. Tashakori immigrated with her family to Arlington, Texas at a young age. She graduated magna cum laude from the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in International Relations and Global Studies before pursuing her medical degree at McGovern Medical School in Houston. During medical school, she developed a passion for surgery and was inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.

She went on to complete her residency in Orthopedic Surgery at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston. To further refine her expertise, she completed advanced fellowship training at the Cleveland Clinic’s combined orthopedic and neurosurgical Spine Surgery program, where she gained specialized experience in the latest techniques for both minimally invasive and complex spine procedures.

In her free time, Dr. Tashakori enjoys weightlifting, running, hiking Colorado’s trails, and traveling internationally. Excited to call Denver home, she looks forward to experiencing all that Colorado has to offer while helping patients return to the activities they love.

Dr Tashakori has been nothing but the best. She is sweet, kind, intelligent, understanding, present and she listens to your needs and concerns. Shes great at explaining things and coming up with a plan that both of you think is right. Her assistant is also absolutely wonderful. Shes kind, courteous and shes very responsive. If you need a spine doctor/ surgeon, she comes highly recommended not only by me, but her colleagues at OCC well.

Dr Tashakori was fantastic, she actually took the time to explain to me exactly what was going on with my lower back. I had seen 4 other doctors related to my back pain and I still had no idea what was wrong. I’m so grateful I finally found someone that enlightened me. Dr. Tashakori is one of the kindest, professional doctors that I’ve known and her Medical Assistant, Veronica deserves the same recognition. Dr.T really cares about her patients and listens carefully to her client before offering her opinion or advice. She is not one to jump to conclusions nor does she feel surgery is always the best treatment when so many surgeons are happy with the knife. Dr. T explores all options and leaves it up to the patient to decide with no pressure. I am happy I found her as she is competent, kind, very patient, and answers all questions in a way that the lay person can understand. I never feel rushed in her presence. I highly recommend her.
