Dr. Erisha Tashakori is a fellowship-trained orthopedic spine surgeon specializing in the comprehensive care of spinal conditions, from minimally invasive procedures to complex deformity reconstruction.

Born in Ciudad Ojeda, Venezuela, Dr. Tashakori immigrated with her family to Arlington, Texas at a young age. She graduated magna cum laude from the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in International Relations and Global Studies before pursuing her medical degree at McGovern Medical School in Houston. During medical school, she developed a passion for surgery and was inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.

She went on to complete her residency in Orthopedic Surgery at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston. To further refine her expertise, she completed advanced fellowship training at the Cleveland Clinic’s combined orthopedic and neurosurgical Spine Surgery program, where she gained specialized experience in the latest techniques for both minimally invasive and complex spine procedures.

In her free time, Dr. Tashakori enjoys weightlifting, running, hiking Colorado’s trails, and traveling internationally. Excited to call Denver home, she looks forward to experiencing all that Colorado has to offer while helping patients return to the activities they love.

Dr. Tashakori was Great she was very professional and thorough. The only problem I do have is with the hospital Aurora South is the worst hospital I’ve ever been in. It’s dirty. Disgusting the nurses were unprofessional. I understand that there’s a learning phase there, but it was ridiculous. I was deprived in my medication that I take every day for Pain and Diabetes. The nurses would not listen to me. I was treated like a drug addict. I did not appreciate it one of the nurses boots very rude to ask me well what do you want some hydromorphone I told her no I don’t want any morphine. I just want my medication that I take every day and I never got that. I was in pain after the surgery and before the surgery the worst was after I will never step a foot in that hospital again or the emergency room but Doctor T Doctor Tasha Corey was great. I would have her do surgery on me if need be again.
