Dr. Joseph Hsin is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon and the founding partner at Cornerstone Orthopedics & Sports Medicine and has practiced sports medicine and general orthopedics in the Denver metropolitan area for over 25 years. He has functioned as team physician to many levels of competitive athletics and currently serves on the physicians pool for the US Ski and Snowboard Team and the USA Eagles Rugby Team. Dr. Hsin founded Impact Sports Performance, the premier training facility in Colorado which excels at elite sports performance, strength & conditioning, and injury prevention and rehabilitation.

Dr. Hsin has been named by 5280 magazine as Denver’s Top Orthopedic Doctor. Prior to starting Cornerstone Orthopedics, Dr. Hsin earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in molecular, cellular, and developmental biology from the University of Colorado, Boulder. After receiving his undergraduate degree, he earned a Master of Arts degree in theology with an emphasis in missions from Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, CA. He went on to attend medical school at the University of Colorado School of Medicine in Denver, and completed his orthopedic surgery internship and residency at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center and Rancho Los Amigos Medical Center in Downey, CA.

Dr. Hsin has also founded the Cornerstone Foundation, a non-profit whose mission is to provide the local and global community with orthopedic care and medical education. He has traveled to Uganda as well as to Southeast Asia on numerous occasions in a continuing effort to improve medical care around the globe.

I had an excellent experience with Dr. Joseph Hsin for my proximal humerus fracture. He carefully reviewed my imaging with me, explained the findings clearly. His thoroughness and clear communication gave me a lot of confidence and peace of mind.

Dr Hsin was great. I'd recommend him for knee work. Back office leaves a lot to be desired. They were running several hours late. SOme patients were called to let them know. I was not notified. Killed an entire afternoon. Also the post-op instructions were terrible. Couldn't see the recommended exercises, couldn't understand the acronyms. Most instructions were generic, not appropriate for me. Staff was very nice, vwry supportive, just terrible post op communications.

Dr Hsin was nice and took the time to listen to me about my symptoms. He did a physical check of my range of motion and knew right away that it was ‘frozen shoulder’. He acknowledged how painful it is and set me up with another Dr to get an injection to alleviate my pain and movement. I’ll follow up with him after the procedure and we will go from there if any further decisions need to be made. I appreciate his care. Highly recommend Dr Hsin and his staff.

I have nothing but good things to say about Dr. Hsin and his PA Briana. I tore my ACL skiing and was able to get a consultation within two days, an MRI two days later, and surgery within 2 weeks of the injury. Surgery went very smoothly and I felt very cared for by both Dr. Hsin and Briana during the day of the procedure and post-operatively. Briana has helped get my insurance to approve more PT sessions and I truly couldn't have asked for a better experience. I'd recommend both Dr. Hsin and Briana to everyone! Dr Hsin did a great job of explaining my torn meniscus by waking me through the MIR showing me exactly what was happening. He then explained what to expect from the surgery (scheduled within two weeks) and the normal recovery.
I’ve been very pleased.

Post surgery update. Dr Hsin and the team are still hitting 5 stars! During my one week post operation appointment he showed me exactly what he did for the meniscus repair and explain how he found and treated arthritis that was worse than the MRI showed. The pain and aching I experienced the past four months is gone and now I’m booked for PT.
