Andrew W. Parker, a board-certified orthopedic surgeon, joined Orthopedic Associates in 1992. Dr. Parker attended Northwestern University Medical School. He completed his internship and residency through Northwestern University Medical School in Chicago before completing a fellowship at Louisiana State University in knee and shoulder sports medicine.

Dr. Parker was the head team physician and medical director for the Colorado Avalanche from 1995 through 2017. He also served as a consulting physician for the Denver Nuggets. Dr. Parker is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine, and Arthroscopy Association of North America. He was a member of the National Hockey League Physician’s Society, serving as president from 1992 to 1994 and from 1995 through 2017.

Dr. Parker did my shoulder labral repair back in February and my experience with him, Miggy, and the entire OCC team has been thorough and more importantly successful. This is a busy office so sometimes appts are behind schedule but the care received and the level of expertise is second to none. I am 5 months out from my surgery and am back working out, and have almost full range back in my shoulder. I am very appreciative of Dr. Parker and his team.

I appreciate how efficiently the office runs. I'm used to sitting in doctor waiting rooms long past my appointment time no matter how early I arrive. Here I was escorted to the exam room, got x-rays, met the doctor and was out the door in 30 minutes, without sacrificing quality of care. I saw Dr Parker when my shoulder started hurting since he did my meniscus surgery years ago. He suggested conservative PT but that did not help so I had rotator cuff/bicep repair surgery. He was honest telling me what to expect afterwards. His staff has been great answering any questions/concerns post op always returning my calls promptly. Dr Parker has been very understanding & supportive knowing I want to return to tennis and emphasizing I need patience in my recovery.
