John A. Wallington, MD
John A. Wallington, MD, a Cleveland Clinic fellowship-trained interventional spine physician, joined Orthopedic Associates in 2021. He is board-certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation.
Dr. Wallington, a native of Ann Arbor, MI, attended the University of Michigan where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa with a degree in biochemistry and was awarded the Perrigo Fellowship to pursue natural products drug research. He obtained his medical degree from the University of Toledo College of Medicine and subsequently pursued a residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, MI, serving as chief resident in his final year. He then pursued a fellowship in spine medicine at Cleveland Clinic where his training focused on non-operative treatment of neck and back pain. Dr. Wallington then practiced in Boston prior to joining Orthopedic Associates.
His clinical interest is spine evaluation and treatments including therapies, non-opioid medications, and injection-based therapies including epidurals, radiofrequency ablations, and deep joint injections under fluoroscopic guidance.
In his free time, Dr. Wallington enjoys skiing, tennis, hiking with his dog, and spending time with family and friends.
