Dr. Laura Snyder is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine and joint preservation, dedicated to helping patients of all ages return to the activities they love. In addition to treating sports-related injuries, she cares for patients experiencing knee and shoulder arthritis and offers both non-surgical and surgical treatment options, including total knee and total shoulder replacement.
She completed her orthopedic surgery residency at Michigan State University’s McLaren Greater Lansing Hospital, where she also received additional focused training at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital and the Cleveland Clinic. She went on to complete a fellowship in sports medicine at the Detroit Medical Center/Wayne State University, training alongside leaders in arthroscopic techniques, tendon and ligament reconstruction, joint preservation, and advanced shoulder and knee procedures.
A Colorado native who grew up in Highlands Ranch, Dr. Snyder earned her undergraduate degree in Integrative Physiology from the University of Colorado Boulder before graduating magna cum laude from Campbell University School of Osteopathic Medicine. Throughout her medical education and training, she received multiple honors, including the Distinguished Student of the Region Award and recognition for her research and clinical excellence.
Dr. Snyder treats a wide range of orthopedic conditions with a special focus on sports-related injuries, advanced arthroscopic procedures, minimally invasive surgery, and joint replacement. She performs total knee arthroplasty (TKA), including MAKO robotic-assisted total knee replacement, as well as total shoulder arthroplasty (TSA) for patients seeking lasting relief from arthritis and joint degeneration. She is committed to building trust with her patients through open communication, collaboration, and individualized care plans designed to support both recovery and long-term wellness.
As a thyroid cancer survivor, Dr. Snyder brings a unique perspective and empathy to her practice. She understands firsthand the importance of resilience, clear communication, and patient-centered care—qualities she carries into every interaction with her patients.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Snyder enjoys snowboarding, golfing, traveling, and following Colorado’s hometown sports teams. She especially values time spent outdoors with her family, staying active in the same ways she encourages her patients to do.
