Dr. Sam Huntley is a fellowship-trained sports medicine specialist with a strong background in orthopaedic surgery and public health. Originally from Littleton, Colorado, Dr. Huntley is proud to return home to care for patients across the Front Range.
A three-time All-American swimmer, Dr. Huntley attended the University of the Cumberlands on a full-ride swimming scholarship, graduating Summa Cum Laude with a degree in molecular biology. He went on to earn both his Doctor of Medicine (MD) and Master of Public Health (MPH) at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, where he combined his passion for clinical excellence with a commitment to advancing research in orthopaedics and community health. His work included a CDC-funded study on knee osteoarthritis in construction workers, underscoring his dedication to preventing and treating musculoskeletal conditions in active populations.
Dr. Huntley completed his Orthopaedic Surgery residency at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital, where he served as Recruitment Chief Resident and received recognition for his research, including first place at the 2023 OREF Central West Resident Research Symposium. He has recently completed his advanced fellowship training in Sports Medicine at The Steadman Clinic in Vail.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Huntley remains passionate about an active lifestyle. He enjoys swimming, tennis, hiking, and snowboarding, as well as exploring Colorado’s vibrant restaurant scene with his wife, Chloe.
