Scott G. Resig, M.D.is board certified through the American Board of Orthopedic Surgeons. Dr. Resig specializes in complex conditions of the lower extremity with a focus in foot and ankle as well as hip and knee joint replacement at Advanced Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Specialists in Denver and Parker, Colorado.

Dr. Resig pursued his undergraduate degree at the University of Wisconsin, graduating with distinction. He received his medical degree and completed his orthopedic residency at the University of Minnesota Medical School. After completing his residency, he pursued fellowship training at the Adidas Sports Medicine Institute and then continued his fellowship training in orthopedic foot & ankle surgery at the University of Auckland, New Zealand.

Dr. Resig is currently the Chairman of Orthopedic Surgery at Sky Ridge Medical Center. He moved to Denver and joined Denver-Vail Orthopedics, P.C. in 2004. Dr. Resig utilizes many of the most advanced technologies available in orthopedics, including robotic knee surgery, anterior minimally invasive hip replacement, and custom ankle replacement. Dr. Resig hopes that the use of the newest technological advances in orthopedics can give his patients the best outcomes with a quicker recovery.

Dr. Resig recently completed an Ironman triathlon and he has run multiple marathons but his greatest joy comes from being a devoted husband and father of three girls. He enjoys competitive sports and is familiar with the frustrations an injury can cause.

I’ve been going to this office for quite some time to see Dr. Michalson who performed hip replacement surgery on my right hip.. this was my first time in there to see Dr.Resig, who was quite pleasant and thorough in reviewing my right ankle through an X-ray,,' and by massaging my right ankle. The only problem that showed on the X-ray was some arthritis. He gave me a steroid shot on the right side of the ankle, and the pain has subsided; however when I walk on the ankle I can still feel it and hear it crunching, but with no pain. This is so much better now after seeing Dr. Resig. If I go back to him it will be if pain returns.

Dr. Resig is going to do my Left knee total replacement March 12th,2025, I have seen him twice now and I feel very confident in his abilities, he is very personable and has treated my right knee with some injections that are helping greatly. His assistants are very nice also and are keeping me well informed. Ive used OCC for all my joint issues with great sucess in the past.My left knee total replacement is a success. Im 8 months ot and knee works great, zi saw Dr. Resig yesterday for injections in my right knee, he's done it several times to great success. Prolonging surgery for years to come. The doctor and his staff are great⁵. I Recommend him for all knee issues.

Love Dr Resig and the entire team at OCC. They are all very attentive and responsive to emails and voicemails. I'm not sure the advise I received is accurate or healing. This review should have been solicited a week after treatment. My condition is still difficult to endure. Dr. Resig did say the treatment might take a day or two to take. However I still have to work. I wish there was some sort of pain management we could have done in the meantime.

In my first consultation, he gave me a quick and effective solution. In my second consultation, for another type of pain, he sent me for a scan. It took me longer to decide to make the call to schedule the scan than it did to the doctor's diagnosis, which was necessary surgery. A very good experience with the doctor, the anesthesia, and the clinic. In other consultations, he has always been very kind, direct, and always attentive to my orthopedic needs. I will not hesitate to consult him whenever I need to.

Dr. Resig and his assistant took a careful summary of my fall and resulting problems and ordered an x ray which said I didn't have, or no longer had,a broken bone in my right foot, as the first X-ray had maintained. He said that my foot looked okay and showed me the x -ray. I liked that Dr. Resig didn't recommend the usual solution -- the boot --but tailored it to my individual needs and problem. The doctor also arranged for me to get physical therapy
