Dr Newman and his PA, Andrew, are both fantastic. Luckily, I don't require surgery yet, but they both thoroughly explained what is going on, reviewed options, and gave me everything you need to make the best decision for myself. I never felt rushed or pressured. His entire staff is very kind. (My PT says he always recommends Dr. Newman and his team).

Dr. Newman is extremely personable and takes the time to fully explain what the issue is, why it may be occurring and what treatment options are avaliable. While others seem like they just want to inject and move on, Dr. Newman did a full analysis, eliminated unlikely causes/treatments and then narrowed down to likely scenarios. I was very comfortable with his diagnosis and recommendations and will continue to have him as my go to Ortho!!

Amazing experience. Dr Newman took the time to explain everything going on with my shoulder, why it was happening and propose a few treatments. I never felt rushed and was his sole focus during the time we met. I can’t to him for a second opinion. So much better than my experience with another physician (not OCC). I’d highly recommend him. And my PT said he send all of his patients to him as well.

I’m a woman in my mid-50s who suffered a serious knee injury in a ski accident. An MRI showed a severely torn ACL and two meniscus tears, and it was clear that if I ever wanted to run, bike, ski, or hike again, I would need surgery. Dr. Justin Newman and his PA, Andy, came highly recommended by friends, and now I understand why.

I’m nine months post-surgery, and the outcome has been nothing short of outstanding. Dr. Newman and Andy were incredibly kind, patient, and professional throughout the entire process. Their expertise and guidance gave me complete confidence, and their surgical work has truly been life-changing.

By following their instructions and staying consistent with physical therapy, I’m now back to doing everything I loved before the accident. I could not be more grateful, and I cannot recommend Dr. Newman and his team highly enough.

Our son suffered a small femur fracture from a hockey injury, and Dr. Newman has been absolutely wonderful throughout his recovery. He guided us down a path of healing without surgery and has been incredibly personable and informative with our 14-year-old son. We’re so grateful for his care and would highly recommend Dr. Newman and the team at OCC for any sports-related injury!

I had a broken hip that Dr. Newman fixed back in 2017 and my daughter had a torn acl,mcl repair and had continued to treat me over the years with hip or knee pain. I moved to Maryland 2022 and only have Dr. Newman treat me aka I've traveled 1200 miles several times for injections in my hips and knees. Dr. Newman is very compassionate and very knowledgeable and is a straight shooter and that is a top doctor! No matter what state i live in, I will always seek him to help me and my family.
I could only hope there are other specialist out there as great as Dr. Newman.
Thank you very much for the great care and the cowboy boots in the operating room 😀

Well I have decided not to come back. The first visit was very short he showed me what was wrong very to the point but I felt like he didn't wanna know more about me. I get it you have a lot of patience but what's a normal in my world is that they get to know the patient and then go from there he showed me the pictures and what I have and tested my knee and told me what it was and then asked me are you gonna get it done or not when should I schedule you? Or he told me to sleep on it. I felt rushed I felt no empathy and I explained I don't have the right insurance and it was like well the ball is in your court at your decision and I know that . The second visit was better his associate was more informative more in tuned to what I was feeling began to talk to me like an old person and then talk to me like a young person. I can live with it forever or I can have it done and be in debt forever or live with it. I felt once again rushed pressured and I'm in the driver seat. I asked for exercises did not get any they were not willing to talk about the financial part of it which was my biggest concern. So I had to rewrite my comments because I was gonna come back and get a brace but $1000 for a brace that I probably won't wear enough is not worth it to me. I am 65 but I'm not old enough to be treated like a elderly person and that's exactly what I felt like. No small talk no conversations to speak of he showed me my film but no solid answers so I am not coming back I am not getting the brace and until they have better bedside manner and more empathy for people that I've never gone through this before I don't recommend them to anybody and I can't afford a $7000 surgery that will inevitably give me arthritis whether I do it or not that's the main topic I was told if I do it I get arthritis if I don't do it I'll get arthritis so what's the difference. It was not relaxing it was not pleasant I'm not coming back i'm not gonna do a damn thing I'm gonna flip and live with it and if it does get worse I certainly will go to somebody else maybe a female doctor that's what I was suggested by my sister they are more in tune with the female body than the high mighty men I suppose. So take this comment and run with it or ignore it I don't care but I am not coming back they need to treat the older people a little more gentle sorry it was so long I'm adding to it I changed my mind I'll let you know maybe three times as a charm the receptionist were very kind I'm just waiting to hear a comment back from Mr. Newman on how it could be better thank you

I recently had a hamstring tendon tear and was referred to Dr. Newman's practice. They were highly recommended by my referring doctor. Every contact I've had within the practice thus far has been outstanding. Both Justin and his PA Andy have clearly explained my options and expectations for my upcoming surgery. No sugar coating, just the facts. I'm very confident that they will get this broken old guy back up and going full speed.

I've never come across a more attentive doctor who is willing to take time and listen to what is actually going on with your injury. I have a complicated knee case that I've been dealing with for almost two years. I requested I get a second opinion after my original orthopedic doctor said there was no more he could do. I am sure glad I was able to meet with Dr. Newman. In the two appointments I've had with him, he's listened and provided more feedback than all of the other doctors I've seen combined. We created a plan to take care of my knee and now I'm hoping for a nice outcome and a brighter future!

Dr. Newman was highly recommended by a friend who works for an orthopedic device company. I was seeing him for a second opinion on my torn acl and other ligaments in my knee. He really took the time to thoroughly explain my injury and outline the options available. He ultimately recommended conservative treatment in hopes of avoiding surgery. Really glad I went to see him.

Dr. Newman came highly recommended by a long term family friend and medical professional in the orthopedic field for 30 years. I tore my ACL a month ago and had surgery 3 weeks later. Dr. Newman evaluated me and gave me his expert opinion on my options with thoughtful consideration of my overall health, goals, age, and tailored the surgery to me. Surgery went amazing and I’m already doing great 9 days out. I can feel the stability in my knee already. In the past, I tore my other ACL and have had 2 other minor knee surgeries elsewhere. This time around I feel my care was better and the process was smoother. OCC staff are amazing and I was taken care of every minute at the OCC Surgery Center at Inverness. Dr. Newman is an expert in orthopedics and the best in town. His track record speaks for itself. I recommend Dr. Newman 100% and would not go to any other orthopedic surgeon in the future.
