Dr. Larsen served in the U.S. Air Force and Air Force Reserve from 1989 to 2015, retiring at the rank of Colonel. He provided orthopedic care at the U.S. Air Force Academy and held several key leadership roles, including Chief of Orthopedic Surgery and Deputy Chief of Medical Staff. His distinguished military service includes deployments, humanitarian missions, and recognition such as the Defense Meritorious Service Medal and the NATO Medal.

This review comes years too late, but it’s one I’ve been meaning to write. Nearly 8 years ago, I fractured my arm in a very rare and complex way. Dr. Karl Larsen was specifically paged to perform the surgery due to the specialized orthopedic care my injury required.
From the moment he took over my case, Dr. Larsen provided exceptional care. His knowledge, both pre- and post-surgery, was outstanding. He took the time to explain everything clearly and was incredibly accommodating to my needs throughout the entire process. I also remember how quickly he arranged for a physical therapist in his office to start working with me as soon as possible—something that made a huge difference in my recovery.

Doctor Larson sat with me for at least a half an hour, giving me several different recommendations of what could be done to help me after a horrible experience with my previous doctor. I went to see Dr Larsen for a second opinion after getting a small cyst removed from my wrist by a different orthopedic surgeon in Denver. I highly regret not going to Dr Larsen to begin with to ask advice about the cyst on my wrist. I am a cash payer and the consult cost was very affordable and reasonable. Dr Larsen's scheduler and medical assistant were absolutely fabulous to work with. Dr Larsen was incredibly down to earth and knowledgeable. He took time to explain why my wrist is hurting from the previous surgery and also laid out a game plan if it does not heal in the next months.
