Shannon M. Constantinides, PhD, MSN, FNP, NP-C, RN
Dr. Shannon Constantinides received her PhD from Florida Atlantic University, where she specialized in the use of advanced applied biostatistics, population health, and healthcare delivery systems. As a researcher, Dr. Constantinides studies issues pertaining to musculoskeletal health and social determinants of health. She has authored many peer-reviewed papers and book chapters in the areas of orthopedics and sports medicine, applications of statistics in clinical practice, and emancipatory philosophy. She has also written and regularly gives talks on similar topics.
Dr. Constantinides graduated from the University of Colorado with her Master of Science in Nursing, and is a board-certified family nurse practitioner with over a decade of experience in orthopedics and sports medicine. She assists Dr. Weinstein in the operating room and is skilled at performing in-office imaging-guided procedures. Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, Dr. Constantinides was a critical care transport nurse in the United States Air Force, and later United States Army Reserve, where she primarily provided care to service members with orthopedic trauma or who had undergone orthopedic surgery. Dr. Constantinides has undergraduate and masters-level training in human metabolism and dietetics, and strives to provide whole-person care. Dr. Constantinides is a Colorado Springs native. She and her husband enjoy fly fishing and mountain biking. She is also a Peloton enthusiast!
