Kirk Jeffers, MD
All Physicians
Before medical school, Dr. Jeffers spent time in Vail, CO helping patients rehabilitate and recover from orthopedic injuries. This gives him an interesting perspective on patient care as he has helped guide patients through every phase of an injury: from diagnosing them on the field, to performing their surgery, to helping them rehab and recover. He completed medical school in Tampa at the University of South Florida. He then did his orthopedic surgery residency in New Orleans at Louisiana State University. After completing residency, he moved here to Denver to complete a fellowship in Sports Medicine Surgery at the Steadman Hawkins Clinic where he helped take care of the Denver Broncos, Colorado Rockies and Cherry Creek High School.
Dr. Jeffers is an orthopedic surgeon who specializes in minimally invasive arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder, elbow, hip and knee. He provides surgical and non-surgical care of joint, muscle, tendon and ligament injuries. Taking care of world class athletes, he fine-tuned his skills in complex ligament and tendon repair/reconstruction. He also takes on complex revision cases. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine, American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons and the Arthroscopy Association of North America. He has published on rare injuries, ACL reconstruction in Division I football players, and complex hip anatomy.
Dr. Jeffers is a family man who loves to enjoy the outdoors and sporting events with his wife, Susie, their children and their dog. He enjoys skiing, snowboarding and playing sports outdoors. Dr. Jeffers is also an avid fan of the NFL, NCAA, MLB, and NBA.
"I take pride in listening and helping patients make shared decisions. I want to ensure that no one leaves my office feeling like they were not heard or not understood. It is my goal to teach you about your injury so that you understand all of your options and can choose the best one for you and your life. I consider it a privilege to help patients live the highest quality of life so they can continue to enjoy both work and play," said Dr. Jeffers.

The most welcoming office I have been to! The staff was polite and friendly! I've only seen Dr. Jeffers once and he is definitely one of my favorite people ever! He is kind and really listens. He takes the time to go over and fully explain everything to you and in a way that makes sense so you can understand. You don't feel rushed or like some number here, they treat you like a human being and they CARE! The other Orthopedic guy I saw was awful and basically told me I had nothing wrong with me, why was I even there wasting his time? Took less then 5 min to tell me that after I'd spent 2 hours driving with my hurt knee to see him.....if there is NOTHING wrong then why do I have so much pain? Dr. Jeffers is nothing like that other guy! He very thoroughly went over my MRI with me, showing me why and what was causing my pain. He even had a plan and options for me that I'm happy to say worked! The very next day, my knee felt like it was young! Seriously no pain! I'm just totally blown away by Dr. Jeffers! If I did need surgery, there is not a person I would trust more to do it then him. Thank you so much Dr. Jeffers and his staff!

Dr. Kirk Jeffers is awesome! I've been having problems with my knee (work injury) for months. Went to a different office a few months back and had a horrible experience but this one was incredible. Dr. Jeffers was very informative, went over my MRIs in detail but easy to understand. He takes the time to listen and explains everything you need or want to know. He is also very gentle, I received a shot in my knee, felt no pain just some pressure. The next day, my right knee feels so young! Kinda want to do that with my left now too! Thank you Dr. Jeffers! You are amazing and you rock!

Dr Jeffers was awesome! He explained my MRI on my hip, no one ever explained the MRI like he did. He was honest what he can and cannot do! He referred me to Dr Kopinski! He was one of the best Drs I've seen for this issue!Thank you so much. I appreciate you!Barb Bombardier

Dr Jeffers is not only a competent physician surgeon, he is a human! I had a wicked fracture on top of an already repaired shoulder and he was so kind and caring with me. My arm has healed very well and I am so grateful. He never is hurried. And you never have to feel that he hasn’t the time for you. It doesn’t appear that his schedule is booked too full, like many other physicians offices.

Dr. Jeffers and Monique were absolutely amazing! Messed up my knee pretty bad and they treated me just like a normal human being. It never really felt like I was a patient. Dr. Jeffers talks to you and makes sure you understand what’s going on and clearly tells you the next steps. I’d highly recommend this practice and especially Dr Jeffers if you need to have your knee checked out. Great staff and I’ll definitely make them my go to!

Dr Jeffers has guided me through a difficult journey with my shoulder. Starting with a stint of PT then realizing I needed his expertise with reconstructive surgery. I am 6 weeks post opp and have almost 100% motion. Strength coming along and will be hitting the links and weight room in no time. He and the staff @ OCC (especially Monique!) are super. Thank you.

Great Drs, great staff, I was taken care of exactly as I needed. I had surgery with Dr Jeffers for torn meniscus in my knee. He was wonderful from beginning to end. I am healed and ready to go back out on the slopes and the courts.
