Dr. James Reid, a board-certified hand and elbow surgeon, joined Cornerstone Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine in 2019. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Society for Surgery of the Hand, Rocky Mountain Hand Surgery Society, Colorado Orthopaedic Society, and Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society.

Prior to working at Cornerstone, Dr. Reid worked at Boulder Bone & Joint in Louisville and Boulder for over 20 years. He completed an Upper Extremity, Hand, and Microvascular Surgery Fellowship in San Antonio, TX, and his residency and internship at the Fletcher Allen Health Care Center in Burlington, VT. Dr. Reid also earned his Doctorate Degree from the University of Health Sciences – The Chicago Medical School in North Chicago, IL, where he was honored the Surgery Clerkship Award.

When Dr. Reid is not performing a surgery or meeting with patients, he can be found enjoying the outdoors: hiking, biking, and skiing; he was a Ski Racing Coach in Colorado and Vermont. Dr. Reid also enjoys making wooden cookie jars in his woodworking shop at his home.
