Dr. Cary Motz grew up in Oklahoma and his dream was to be an orthopedic surgeon. He has practiced in Denver since 2000 and is board certified through the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons with a subspecialty certificate in Orthopedic Sports Medicine. Dr. Motz specializes in knee/shoulder arthroscopy and reconstruction along with sports medicine at Advanced Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Specialists in Denver, Parker, and Aurora, Colorado.
Dr. Motz received his undergraduate degree and completed his orthopaedic residency at the University of Oklahoma. He received his medical degree from St. Louis University School of Medicine. Dr. Motz completed the San Diego Sports Medicine Arthroscopy Fellowship, focusing on advanced techniques in knee and shoulder arthroscopy. He is an instructor at many national and international arthroscopy courses.
Dr. Motz believes that good communication with his patients is the key to a successful treatment outcome returning them to their active lives. He has been the team physician for many high schools in the area including Rock Canyon, Grandview, Cherokee Trail, Eaglecrest, and Smoky Hill High Schools and previously served as the Medical Director for the Colorado Storm Soccer Club. His hobbies include playing golf and skiing.
