In December 2025, Richard Quincy joined Orthopedic Centers of Colorado as Therapy Lead at the Aurora Southlands Therapy Clinic, where he provides clinical leadership while continuing his commitment to high-performance rehabilitation, athlete care, and return-to-play excellence.
Richard Quincy was the former Head Physical Therapist and Athletic Trainer for the Glendale Raptors Professional Rugby Team and served as Associate Medical Director for Major League Rugby. Known to colleagues and athletes simply as “Quincy,” he brings decades of elite sports medicine experience spanning local, national, and international levels of competition.
Quincy has worked extensively with rugby athletes throughout his career, beginning at the local level with high schools and The Ohio State University, advancing to national and international roles, including service as an athletic trainer and physiotherapist for USA Rugby since 2010. His experience includes work with the USA Rugby Sevens National Team at the Vegas Sevens and serving as Head Physiotherapist for the USA Eagles during the 2015 Rugby World Cup in London. He also served as Medical Director for the Ohio Aviators in the PRO Rugby League.
In addition to his work in professional rugby, Quincy has held several prestigious leadership roles in sports medicine. From 1991 to 2007, he served in multiple capacities at his alma mater, Colorado College, including faculty member in the Sport Science Department, biomechanics instructor, and longtime athletic trainer for the men’s hockey program.
In 2007, Quincy accepted the role of Medical Director for U.S. Ski & Snowboard, contributing to the organization’s “World’s Best” performance at the 2010 Winter Olympics and Paralympics in Vancouver. He later served as Associate Medical Director for the U.S. Olympic Committee, managing athlete medical care at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista from 2010 to 2014. In 2014, he joined The Ohio State University’s Sports Medicine department for a three-year appointment before returning to Colorado in 2017 to be closer to family.
Quincy was born in Decatur, Illinois, and completed his undergraduate studies at Colorado College. He earned a Master of Science in Exercise Physiology from Michigan Technological University and a degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Sports Psychology through San Diego University of Integrative Studies.
We will honor existing appointments through 03/01/2026 without authorization. However, any planned or ongoing treatment may be delayed if authorization is not received (IE: MRI, Surgery, PT/OT).
