Janice Scott grew up in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where a lifelong involvement in athletics sparked her fascination with how the body moves, heals, and adapts to challenges. After suffering a ruptured ACL during her senior year of high school, her own rehabilitation experience confirmed her desire to pursue a career in physical therapy. Just ten months post-injury, Janice walked on to the New Mexico State University volleyball team, where she played for two years while earning a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Psychology.
Following graduation, she relocated to Arkansas with her husband and college sweetheart. There, she earned a Master’s in Secondary Education from the University of Little Rock before being accepted into Physical Therapy School at the University of Central Arkansas. She went on to receive a Bachelor of Health Science and a Master’s in Physical Therapy.
Janice brings a wealth of experience across a wide range of clinical settings, including aquatic therapy, amputee prosthetic training, wheelchair and AFO positioning, wound care, total joint rehabilitation, functional capacity evaluations, and workman’s compensation/work hardening programs. She is also trained in advanced manual therapy techniques, including dry needling and myofascial release. Her certifications include AAMT Spinal Manipulation Levels 1 & 2, AAMT Dry Needling I-II, EIM Dry Needling Levels 1–3, and RockTape.
Janice is passionate about treating each patient as a whole person—not just a diagnosis—and is committed to delivering personalized, evidence-based care. She believes exceptional care starts with a strong, collaborative team, which she is proud to be part of at Orthopedic Centers of Colorado.
